  • Rock Spring Congregational United Church of Christ 5010 Little Falls Road Arlington, VA, 22207 United States (map)

Faith-based organizations in Arlington have a long tradition of working on social justice initiatives on a variety of issues, including affordable housing. Given the great level of need we have in Arlington for more affordable housing, there is no one-size-fits-all approach for congregations interested in having an impact on this important issue.

Hear the latest on affordable housing initiatives and policies in Arlington from AHS and other housing groups including AHC, Inc., APAH, and VOICE.

Participants will discuss the full spectrum of ways that communities of faith can become more engaged in affordable housing, including:

  • Public education

  • Community outreach

  • Advocacy

  • Real estate development

The discussion will also provide an opportunity for participants to help shape AHS’s agenda for the coming year and beyond.

Who should attend?
Clergy and lay leadership of faith-based institutions interested in learning more about how to engage in affordable housing efforts in Arlington.
