During this community conversation participants will learn about the history of Arlington’s Black communities, and the role of redlining, discrimination, racial covenants, zoning, and other forces that had an impact on Arlington’s current racial makeup.

The event will feature a presentation by Dr. Lindsey Bestebreurtje followed by remarks and discussion with a panel of Arlington experts: Scott Taylor, Dr. Alfred Taylor, Jr., Wilma Jones, Craig Syphax, Saundra Green, Kitty Clark Stevenson, and Kathleen McSweeney (moderator).
